Guide for Authors

Types of Submissions

NSAM accepts the following types of original submissions:

  • Research Articles | In-depth studies presenting new experimental or theoretical results on nanotechnology and advanced materials. Length: Up to 8000 words.
  • Reviews | Comprehensive analyses and assessments of current literature on specialized nanotechnology/materials topics. Length: Up to 12000 words. 
  • Communications | Brief but timely reports on new key findings warranting rapid dissemination. Length: Up to 4000 words.

 

Formatting Guidelines 

Manuscripts should be formatted as follows:

  • 12 pt Times New Roman font, double spaced 
  • Order sections as: Title, Authors & Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, Conflict of interest declaration, References
  • Figures/tables should be high quality (TIFF or JPG with a minimum of 500 dpi is required) and embedded within the text at appropriate points

 

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should concisely summarize the key details and findings of the paper (200-300 words). Provide 5-7 keywords that capture important aspects of your research. 

 

References

References should follow the APA format. Cite within text as [1], [2], etc. and list references sequentially at the end beginning on a new page. Include all authors, year, paper/book title, journal name/publisher, volume, pages, and DOI. 

 

Submission Process

All manuscripts and related files should be submitted online through the NSAM platform at the NSAM website. Include a cover letter stating the type of submission and summarizing key highlights. Suggest 1-3 potential expert reviewers. 

 

Review Process

Submissions are assessed by the editorial office before undergoing anonymous double-blind peer review by 2-3 expert referees. Final decisions consider reviewers' recommendations and are made by the Editor-in-Chief. Authors are notified of decisions by email. 

 

Editorial Policies

All submitted content must represent original work that is not under consideration elsewhere. Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest. Studies involving human or animal subjects must provide documentation of IRB/ethics approval. The journal upholds COPE guidelines on research and publication ethics. 

 

Copyright Policy

Authors retain copyright and grant NSAM right of first publication under a Creative Commons CC BY license. This allows content to be freely shared and adapted provided the original publication is credited. 

 

Fees and Charges

There are currently no article processing charges for accepted submissions or publication fees to enable open access for all articles.
